It’s me, hi. I’m a blogger it’s me.

Hi friends! Your girl thought it was time to create a blog for two of my passions. Travel… and mamas and babies! I started Traveling into Mamahood as a creative outlet for myself + a guide for others. I wanted to take a corner of the internet to put all my favorite recommendations for other new + seasoned mamas out there. As well as a space to write little weekend getaway guides for travel!
I love sharing products + hacks that made my life easier navigating this new world of parenthood. And I have always had a knack for finding cool new destinations, foodie spots, + fun places to grab a cocktail.

Little background on me… I have been a labor + delivery nurse for 7 years now. I’m originally from a small town in Northern California. I moved down to San Diego for seven years where I went to SDSU for nursing school and started my career. Labor + Delivery had always been my dream area of nursing since I knew I wanted to be a nurse. I was lucky enough, and spent a lot of time in the library (aka Club Love for all my fellow Aztecs) to make that dream become a reality! As amazing and beautiful as San Diego was, I missed being close to my family… so up to Sacramento I went. Thank goodness – because three days after I moved up north, I met my amazing husband. Funny how things fall into place when you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.

My husband and I got engaged in April 2020, married in July 2021, and welcomed our beautiful baby girl, Nora, this past July. Our hearts have never been fuller… and my google searches have never been more interesting! Every day of parenthood comes with another new thing to say “huh” about and most of my best found tips, tricks, and recommendations have come from scrounging the internet for helpful blog posts.

Before meeting my husband, I did a lot of world traveling, and since we’ve been together my travel bug has also rubbed off on him. I always use to say, if I wasn’t a nurse I would’ve loved to be a travel agent. One of my favorite parts about a trip is the research and planning that goes into it… finding cool places to stay, yummy restaurants and cafes to try, unique bars with craft cocktails, and fun ways to explore and learn about the area you are in. One thing we both agreed on when we decided to start a family is that we would always be willing to continue traveling once we had babies. It’s not easy but it’s so worth it!

In my blog I will share some trip ideas for weekends away, how we are learning to adventure with our baby girl, and of course helpful posts about how I prepared for and am surviving a little thing called M A M A H O O D.

I hope you enjoy, and find some helpful tips along the way!

xo,
Jasmine
